Sounds like you have a few options from some experianced posters. In regards to Adobe software , that is strictly a grahics program which is incapable of true curves and arcs (nurbs). You can smooth ot your file with a rastar to vector conversion program but it will not result in the same accuracy as using a true drawing program like Auto Cad or a simular program that is intended to drive CNC machinery. I made a scaled down model of Nick`s freeware for the S&G Guillemot using the offsets from on the website and the curves came out much better than I thought they would. I used my Diemaking 2d drawing program (Cimex) and had none of the hills and bumps that you experianced. Maybe this is of some help as far as the software goes. Good Luck !
