Hi Robert,
I would really appreciate it if you would empty your ditch kit, take a photo of the conatainer and all the items so we could get a better idea of what you carry.

: My pfd has front pockets in which I kept emergency items such as a mylar
: blanket, whistle/compass combo, flares/bear bangers and pen launcher, and
: a power bar. The ditch kit (sorry, no images of it) was also equipped with
: similar items but also had emergency first aid stuff, more power bars,
: fire starter, fishing stuff, flares, bear bangers and lots of other stuff.
: Now that I see how inadequate my explanations are without proper pictures
: I'll be sure to take pictures and get the durned things posted. When I'm
: not paddling I carry my ditch kit in my car since it is such a useful
: survival item. Up here in the Great White North (Canada) such items can be
: life savers.
