I use a bandsaw to cut curves.

If I want to resaw wood I know a real resaw is a different tool.

I went looking for a bench top bandsaw 10 years ago and most of them where crap.

After comparing many bench top bandsaws I bought a Grizzly 9" saw for $169 including free
delivery. Cast iron frame, ball bearing blade guides 1/2 HP motor, it had them all beat.

I usually like to buy top brands but they were not making decent tools in this range, so on the specs I went with the Grizzly. I had some initial trouble because the lower wheel was not aligned
with the upper. Grizzly service, sent an adjustment part.

I've used it for ten years and it was money well spent.

The current 9" bandsaw costs a bit more and you have to pay for shipping but it comes under
your price point.
