: I have the kayak upside down while the compartment is being glued to the
: under deck with thicken epoxy and short fiberglass strans for strength. I
: haven't cleaned off the excess lip holding cement yet as you can see in
: the picture. I added a velcro strip for added lid security in rough water.
: I will have to buy a new smaller set of binoculars to fit into the
: compartment. I put water into the compartment with the lid on and turned
: it upside down and had a little water leakage. I think that is because the
: strip tubing isn't completely symetrical and it forces the lip to be
: slightly out of shape. Had I eliminated the portion of the lip flange that
: is glued inside of the tube it would be water tight I think. But I will go
: with what I have for now.
