Thomas mentioned a very important point. Will you be able to get the boat out of the room? Down a hallway? Out through a window or door?

Make sure the boat has a good egress route.

I built a boat in my apartment that was 18 and one half feet long. It was quite a challenge to get in and out of the little space I called home.
