: Hello all,

: I am failing to understand some info in Tom Yost's website.
: The plans states the displacement of the Sea Ranger is 200 LB
: but the text says the maximum paddler weight is 200 LB .
: Thanks in advance,

: Erez

200 lb. paddler weight is about right. Displ. is 250 lb. assuming a 4.5"
W/L. "Immersion rate" is about 95lbs per inch at that point so it has a displ.
of 380 lbs to the gunwale low point of 6 inches. After that the "SUBmersion
Rate" kicks in. Ha!

Email me if you find any more glaring errors. It's hard to find good proof
readers these days. But at what I get paid, what do you expect. ha!

You are welcome,

Tom
