I never did set the yak outside last week, just too cold.
I have kept a strap clamp on just to see if it will reshape some.
I've decided that I'm gonna reshape the foward bulkhead a little
removing about 1/2" at the top of the radius, as well as flatening a little
the 2 radius's out at the shear lines.
Sorta going half way between stressing the deck and cutting down the bulkhead.
My boat is the shearwater merganser with a strip deck. An absolutely beautiful boat with a graceful line.
My concern with stressing the deck too much is making sure it dosn't crack
after cutting the hatch openings.

: I had significant deformation on both of my projects. On my Outer Island, In
: a couple of places I had to resort to attaching plywood "U's" to
: the are I needed to pull out and using wedge scraps to pull it out. After
: the final taping they were easy to saw/sand off and you would never know
: they are there.

: For both of my Kayak's I did the bulkhead work after the deck and hull was
: joined.
