Thanks. The strongback, like everything else on the site is designed for
simplicity.

Otherwise, a homebuilt folder becomes a difficult project. If you want a
single, there are many there to choose from, and the cost to scratch build is
about $400.00US, and that's using the same frame materials as a Feathercraft.

Look at the Sea Tour 15(LINK) or Yarra as they are closest to the touring
Klepper or Feathercraft singles. The other boats ( Main Menu) are narrow,
but higher performance Greenland types.

If sized the same as a woodstrip or S&G, a skin boat, folder or traditional,
performs just as well as it's hardshell brothers.
