I'm just a little disappointed at how kayak manufacturers are being bought up by corporations and then turn out poor designs and construction. I definitely believe a better kayak can be made at home than bought. Giving the plans for free just adds insult to injury to the corporations. More and more in the future, it will be the serious paddlers who design and build their own kayaks. Sort of like going back to the heydays of the Inuit.
