I thought about a crawl through neck because of the cost of drysuit zippers, but, I found a different solution.

In my experience, one of the best sources of drysuit zippers is eBay. If you are making your own, you can find a surplus military drysuit, recover the zippers and forget about what condition the rest of the suit is in, which means that you can buy the $100+ zippers for less than $20.

I bought a military dry suit on eBay for $15. The suit had leaky seams but the zippers were watertight, both the long zipper and the relief zipper, plus the latex wrist seals and the neck seal. Good deal, and I can use them on my drysuit project.
