I remember you. Sounds like a neat project. Congrats on the new baby coming!

I followed Tom Yost's plans, but built them in wood. I shortened the length to 8' by adjusting the form spacing. I shortened the height by 1" which also narrowed the beam a smidge. If you poke around the yostwerks site, you'll find instructions on how to build the wood framed versions. I didn't use glue, but lashed and pegged the joints instead.

Sadie says that she wants to race kayaks, as she has really learned how to make her kayak move.
