was looking for something similar long time ago, rub strip but not for kayaks, resolved with a rubber edging for forniture.
Short than calling a manufacturer close to you and ask where they get them from maybe automotive and forniture rubber trims can be adapted.

maybe you can stumble upon the perfect gasked for hatches while hunting around.
If they have just a decorative/minor protection did you think about visiting an upholstery store, get an heavy "ribbon" and set it in place? maybe even rubberize it with some Plastidip?
