What's wrong with good old yellow carpenters glue? It's cheap, easy to work with, easy to clean up, sets pretty quick, and most important dries nearly clear. No bold glue lines or funny color reactions to the wood species we commonly use. And it should be plenty strong enough to hold together until you have the glass on, if it isn't you have way too much stress in your lamination and should be using thinner plys.
