There is an American outfit with a facility in Thailand that makes stripper canoes from various fancy Asian woods. One of them is bamboo. But all their hulls are made using in an autoclave that supplies heat and pressure. And they say they have access to numerous types of locally grown bamboo from which they were able to find one that was suitable for their process.
Previous threads (which should be in the archives of this site)looking for a hand-layed bamboo stripper never showed evidence that anyone had ever built one.
