Hi all,

I'm a real noob in canoeing - I live right on the waterfront and my neighbours last week gave me a canoe as they no longer used it. I have looked forward all week to going out in it but today, disaster struck! I am too tall to fit into it! Looking inside the canoe, there is a lot of foam floatation at the front end. My question is this - if I remove some of it (enough for me to fit in) would this affect the bouyancy of the canoe too much? As I said, I'm a complete noob so may be asking a ridiculous question... If you take a look at the picture, at the front end you can see the amount of foam in there, it's the dark markings inside.

Thanks for any help
Neil.
