2004 CLC Pax 18 with micro balloon fillets and 6oz glass barely wetted... 35#'s

2006 Mini-mystery (18'x18") stripper 4oz s-glass, 5 and 6 mm strips with min epoxy to wet 27#'s.

2007 Huki s1-a vacuum bagged carbon/fg 18'4" x 15.75" less than 20#'s (cost 4-5 times what I paid for materials for the wood boats).

Each one potentially faster than the previous, however would take the Pax out over the mini-mystery over the s1-a as conditions get more entertaining and distance planned increases. But that's a comment on design rather than construction. Even as a 130# paddler, the weight of the boats in the water is not that significant in this 10 - 15 pound range and percentage wise for the boats the relative range is quite high. Portages and car topping are another thing, not that an 18 foot 35# boat is really that heavy.
