Fiberglass sanding for transparency

If you're sanding into taped edges and around the bow where you will be cutting into glass, you want to sand it eventually with a fine grit to attain transparency. What I do is wet sand it with 220 or finer. With the water of the wet sanding you get an instantanious preview of the transparency or any lack of it. If you're getting white areas, continue on to a finer grit.
