In Response To: Epoxy: scratch repair in the cloth (rich)

: I was applying the tape to the exterior seam and was thinking that a couple
: of scratches in the cloth would fill with resin and go away some what.
: However that was not the case. I pulled off the tape and cleaned up the
: area and am now trying to figure out if there is a way to at least blend
: these white scratches in the resin / cloth before glassing over them. Any
: help would be appreciated. I've included a picture so you can see my
: problem. Thanks

The picture didn't show up, but the general idea is to treat this area as a repair. Sand out the scratch. If you go through the cloth to get it out, don;t worry. taper the area around the glitch so you get a "feathered" edge, then mix a few tablespoons of epoxy and wet out a patch which extends past the damaged area and over the feathered or tepaered area. Once that hardens, sand the area smooth and you should have a hard time seeing that there was a repair.
