i used 6oz for everything except the top of the deck ,which was 4oz. i think 4oz under the deck would be ok but i'd still use 6oz for the support areas under the deck. as far as the football , once the epoxy goes on and it's wet out you'll never see it . i also used 3/16 strips , total weight with hatches and rigging came out to 42lbs.
