Take a close look at the two hole baidarka shown on the cover of that book!!!
Bairadka are each quite unique, and it's hard to believe there would be two THAT similar, with that exact bow detail, cockpit placement to length ratio, mix of materials, in that color, with that exact (and rather modern) deck rigging... If not the same one, it's a twin by same hands.
I'll have to check my copy when I get home and see what other info's in there...
