Here's another great link. It will take you to the building pages on the One Ocean Kayaks website. It covers almost every step of strip and S&G building from start to finish.

You can also click around to the other pages on the OOK site, it has a huge amount of information on it.

I also recommend Nick's book. It's loaded with good information.

Read as much as you can about the different techniques. As with most hobbies, there are several way to do things. It's just a matter of deciding which techniques you want to use for each step of the way.

Building your own wooden kayak is an awesome experience, even though it can get frustrating at times. One thing I can tell you, that nobody here will argue with, is that paddling a kayak you built yourself is way better than paddling anything else out there.
