So I fiberglassed my hull over the weekend. I decided against the basement, and did it in the "greenhouse" attached to the south side of the house. There's no heat, and about 2 inches of concrete over the ground, big leaky windows and a leaky sunroof. When the sun was on the windows and an electric heater going I got the room up to 60-65 (outside 28). Its completely sealed off from the house, so there were no fumes getting in. Even though the temp was very low for clear coating it came out nice with RAKA 127/350. I had a radiant heater on the boat, and kept the epoxy near the heater. After I coated it I shut the heaters off, the sun went away and the room got down below 40. On sunny afternoons it gets over 50. Sealer coat took over 24 hrs to get tack free, and the fiberglass layer took about a day to get tack free also. Good thing there are no bugs or dust in there that would have stuck in it with such a long cure time. But it all looks good. It'll probably take forever and a lot of sunny afternoons to reach a fully cured state.
Thanks for all the suggestions though. I'm glad I didn't do it in the basement with those fumes.
