I have had my old used Craftsman pot metal casting bandsaw since the late seventies and I have always considered it crappy but sufficient for light work. I just googled the model number and found out just how old it is.

I bought it to cut hundreds of minicell walls and knee braces for the early plastic kayaks (Hollowforms and Perceptions)lately it has seen a lot more crude wood cuts. Replaced the motor and tires.

I still think it is crappy but definitely a good value.

: A 10" bandsaw is too light-duty and probably isn't worth fixing. I have

: and tires but will probably not wear it out in my lifetime.
: As to the "blade drift" issue, that is usually caused by a bad
: blade. Either dull or the set on one side has been damaged. Other causes
: could be bad or poorly set guides or the top guide too far above the work.
