Shoot . . . it sounds as if I'd have been better off taking it outside and propping it up in a snow bank. That's probably why I didn't see that problem on my first 2 boats.

Bill, If you could see the bottom of my boats, you'd see why that extra couple pounds of epoxy in the ends gives me a real (or false) sense of security traveling around the next bend. I paddle on some rough bottomed rivers/creeks here in upstate NY, and I imagine I'd spend the majority of my time patching holes if I didn't do a heavy lay-up of glass along with the end pours.
