Chris Kulczicki designed the Cape Charles and it's successor the Chesapeake.I don't think he would have gone to the trouble if he thought the Cape Charles was good as is. The Chesapeake is asymetric which suggests the Cape Charles suffered from weather helm. Someone with more experience than me will have to say if that is true.
