:From the pic, it's not easy to see how (what angle) bottom and chine panels :will meet at ends. In my opinion it should be as fluid as possible.

:I would personally make the bow a bit less cleaving (less deadwood) to have :larger part of the "vertical surfaces" in aft for handling feeling, but it's :just personal feeling.

I have tried to make the bow and stern entry look like a wine glass at the entry. I don't want to over do it and not be able to twist the ply into shape. My thinking was this fine entry will act like a skeg of rudder and help tracking. My understanding that is more important in the back. So I lowered the rocker in the rear.

And I don't h ave a problem with a skeg. I don't want to have to use it all the time, but I am not opposed to one for windy conditions at all.

:The one kayak I've built from my own design so far had a transverse metacentric :height calculated by Freeship of 0.9ft. .... I haven't seen definite figures :for many other designs, but I'd suggest if that figure is below 0.8 then you'll :probably feel unstable.

Thats a new one I will add to my bag of tricks. And I saw the Cross Curves but didn't understand them. I checked:
Initial stability:

Transverse metacentric height : 0.854 [ft]

Longitudinal metacentric height : 46.072 [ft]

: Some aspects of this design definitely look better. However, I'm pretty much
: certain it will weathercock really badly:

:Good point. For some reason I thought the bow would be on right, it would :then be more balanced.

Amazing. I have looked at for many hours and never noticed that. Now it just jumps out at me! It looks like I got confused and drew the cockpit facing the wrong way. Trying to learn the software and spent a lot drawing and redrawing the cockpit. Looks like I then raised the stern, thinking it was the bow. OK,I redraw that sheer and cockpit tonight.

\speaking of shear lines, what is a good height to shoot for at the cockpit above the waterline?
