Have you tried using three blades? Any table saw which will take a dado set can accept three thin kerf 7-1/2 inch sawblades. The cedar is so easy to cut that such an arrangement won't strain the motor on a table saw. you may need to go a bit slower on the feed, but you'll get three strips instead of two for each pass ( a 50% improvement) at only about a 10% reduction in cutting speed. Actually you save even more time, as you change your featherboards after three strips instead of after two.

Drive some finishing nails into a board clamped to the end of the the saw table and these will serve as kerf splitters and keep those strips away from the sawblades afer they are cut.
