(i didnt notice yr questions on the westcoastpaddler board until yesterday-some responses there)
in any case, you are just doing great!

when i first started facetious, i had no idea how much breakage i would get either, so i figured that i would just make a 'facet' wherever i couldnt get the wood to bend - hence the name 'facetious' before i even started.

so in the breakage that you have, i would just replace the area with a 12" panel(on ea side for symmetry) and just keep on going - it'll all work out fine. just keep on trucking.
