Hi again John,

While I'm most certainly not a sailmaker, I have some friends that make a living doing it. Easiest way is to roll the fabric to get it thru the arm of the machine, makes a huge bundle if you just try to gather it. Stiffer cloth is worse, ie: vinyl coated stuff like you're using

I had my fill of sewing years ago when I made folding chairs, made something like 10,000 of the things all fabric covered. Never again
