This is the site for a small canoe that can be decked to make a kayak. Bob Sparks built one that I paddled at the Connecticut Gathering. It was sporty and roomy and I bought the plans ($15.00) to build this winter. It will probably be a hybrid with a S&G hull with a striped deck. I'm looking for a small boat to get in and out of small riverlets and streams.

: I want to build a stripper this winter. What I actually want is a playful
: boat for rock gardens and bumpy coastlines. I weigh about 200lb. I have
: been looking around, and most of the plans that I see are for long boats.
: I was thinking short and sporty. Something like a Coaster.

: Any suggestions?
