: I saw it on Newfounds website, anyone have experience with it?

Lee:

We paddle it all the time. This was the proto-type for our Hybrid building process. The beam is 24", length 17', designed by Rob Bryan in Maine. We can provide plans. This kayak is not related to the Mergansers. It has more volume than the Merganser 17; sheer panels are a little taller. It is more maneuverable than the Merganser, yet it tracks very well also. Not as fast as the Merganser 17, but similar to the Merganser 17W.
