Jim Horlacher stopped by last night with a couple chunks of ash for paddle-tip laminations. I had a good time resawing, planing, truing on the TS and then ripping into 1/8" x 1-1/2" strips to laminate paddle tip / edges with. Wish I had a jointer... There will be enough for several paddles, and I'll glue up an extra couple paddles worth for you. It's pretty wood, very light in color and fairly lightweight, yet the grain still shows.

I'll try steambending it into shape this weekend.
