Hi Dean, I became interested in this method when I realized Satin weave requires less fill-coating. I got lots of runs filling the weave of my first boat (with System 3)... The thinner fill coat is where I was planning to save weight. I'm going to let each layer cure to not-quite-sticky before the next layer. I hadn't made up my mind about cutting into the outer layer yet; I probably won't.

I'm building in slow-motion. Hopefully, I'll be glassing around Christmas time. As far as I'm concerned, the guy you're talking about no longer exists.

Thanks Dean. I'd be interested to hear anyone else's Satin Weave experiences.
