: I built a Redfish Silver for my wife using two layers of 3.2 oz cloth with
: MAS epoxy. The cloth requires very little fill. In fact, trying to
: squeegee excess out of the cloth after wet-out was mostly a waste of time.
: I probably only removed an ounce from the hull layers but pushed
: microscopic bubbles throught the weave. In comparison, squeegeeing six
: ounce open weave on previous boats yielded a tub full of foam filled
: resin.

i was reading a glass book over the weekend and it said that because of the looser weave, satin can drape and conform better than corresponding e-glass. Did you find this so? And when you do it next time, will you squeegy that last oz off or just leave it there to not disturb the bubbles. Did you preweigh your resin before applying?
