Hi Randy,
Sorry if I spelt your name wrong. A few weeks ago I posted about my stretched, narrowed Chesapeake 16LT project. Last night I finally got to stitch it up to make sure that it was all OK. It is !!
I have stretched it from 4.8 to 5.1 metres (an extra 3/4 inch per offset) and reduced the beam from 22 1/2 inches to 22.
This has reduced the rocker slightly, and Veed the keel line quite a bit more, especially under the cockpit.
The hull panels have all come together fine, with no more gaps or unwanted bulges than normal at this stage-so I would have to say that if you are still interested in trying something similar, go for it.
