S&G: Fillets.... Second Coat O.K.??

Hi All

Put some fillets in the Rob-Roy last night and I seem to have gotten one batch a bit too thin as it sagged a tad. It's still coated both sides of the joint, but thinner on the top side.

My Question: I wish to pull the wires out and go back over the fillets to even them out and fill the holes, so.. will a second coat of fillet ( fumed silica, M.B. and saw dust for color ) loosen up the first coat enough to cause a seperation of the panels? I put the first coat on at around 6:30 to 7:30 last night and it's hard to the touch now. I want to get a good Chem. bond so wish to do the second coat today. But, I don't want any movement of the panels, obviously! What is the general concensous from those who have had the pleasure of S & G building.

The Rob-Roy is a very simple design and I am taking construction pics for Glen-L's site as well as a timed construction detail. If you are interested you can see it at www.glen-l.com and the construction article is at the Boat Registry and listed under Rob-Roy / Larry "Rehd" Brown. The photo progression is at the Customers Photos section and labeled the same way.

I picked this boat as a simple introduction to glassing and it has turned out to be a fun project and my grand-children are anxious to see it completed. This is my warm-up to the Merganser 17w that is waiting on the table.

Thanks for any suggestions on the fillet question!
