That should be enough epoxy. However, first time builders tend to wast a lot of epoxy....I know I did. Make sure you have measuring devices to mix small accurate batches. I found that I wasted the most epoxy on the small piddly jobs and then I got a couple of 10 mL syringes. Boy, did that save on the waste! (by the way, even with a lot of waste I used just under 2 gallons of epoxy on a expadition layup of a guillemot double.)

The best advice I can give is its far better to mix numerous small batches than to mix several larger batches when wetting out large areas. And again when doing filler coats, its much better to use small quantities and use a spreader or squeegee. This takes longer but has much less waste. If you use foam rollers and brushes, it does a nice job but lots of epoxy is wasted by soaking into the foam.

One more note on the small batches.. When you are moving larger amounts of epoxy around, you will end up with more air in it (turns white). Don't be tempted to use this. Squeegee it off into a waste cup. If you use small batches, you do less moving of the epoxy thus less air and less waste.

Good luck and have fun

Tom
