OK, I know this is a kayak message board, but I'm thinking of building a canoe for my step-son's wedding present as a warm up to building a Merganser 16. It needs to be a two person canoe and it needs to be S&G plans.

Right now I have it narrowed down to the Green Valley Kipawa II and the Selway Fisher Peterborough. Does anyone know anything about these companies and/or boats? Green Valley is in Canada and Selway Fisher is in England. I need the plans to be good and easy to follow and I need the company to provide good handholding/technical support.

It's tough to find S&G plans for canoes. If anyone knows of any other good options, I'd appreciate knowing that as well. I've looked at Stillwater, Laughing Loon, Glen-L, and Northwoods, among others.

Thanks for any info anyone might have.
