I am just about to the glassing stage of my first Kayak, the "Great Auk". So far everything has gone fine. I am concerned about the glassing stage as I have never worked with this material. In Nick's book it talks about glassing the hull and deck outside followed by the hull and deck inside. The two parts are then attached to form the completed kayak. Is there a problem with glassing the inside of the hull and deck and than attaching the hull and deck together before glassing the exterior. If it were done in this order it seems you could then sand and fill the exterior joint and then glass all of the exterior. Any comments welcome. Irv
