In Response To: Epoxy: HELP; Epoxi stays soft (joaquin)

: Hi folks,
: after so many batches of epoxi I must have mixed one wrongly. It does not
: harden out as it should. I´ve waited now for two weeks, all the rest went
: ok except one big spot. Today I´ve managed to remove the glass with only
: some damage to the plywood. My question is: How do I get the rest of the
: sticky epoxi off the wood? Any solvents, acetone? which could do the job?
: I can´t plane; I can´t sand ... I´m sort of desperate. All went so well until
: now. I´ve benn kicking myself for the last ten days but to no avail. So
: today I started removing the offending bit. I could get rid of all except
: the last remnants of the darn epoxi on the ply.
: Any suggestions or encouragement appreciated.
: Thanks
: desperate Joaquin

Take it outside and wipe it off with lacque thinner.
Wear a respirator and heavy rubber gloves.
It will gum up and wipe off.
