My office copier handles originals up to 8.5"X17" (I'm sure Kinko's etc has similar machines). I was able to copy the station forms for the Shooting Star onto onlyone or 2 sheets. As I recall only one station required aligning 3 sheets.
: I built my first kayak using the BearBoat design program where I printed out
: the many 9 1/2 x 11 inch sections and taped them together to make one
: station cross section. I am now building Rob Mack's Shooting Star and I am
: doing the same thing. For instance, Stations #8,9,10,11,and 12 are all
: printed inside the larger station #8. I put a big X across the pattern for
: extra line up lines and then scan this pattern in three sections and then
: printed out 5 sheets of each scan. That's enought to make all five
: stations when taped together. The scan are not exactly accurate so I match
: the out side of the stations to Rob's master patterns and then them tape
: together, keeping the center lines and and sheer lines exactly in
: possition. This seems the easiest way for me. I don't like to trace.
