Paddle: Fixing paddle- ice damage

Hello,
I have just about ruined my eddyline paddle. I'm up her in Wisconsin and have pushed the paddling season...It pushed back. I was on my river and got to a large frozen area. It started out less than a quarter inch of ice and went quickly to 4". I have determined impirically that I can only ice break a max of 3/4". I have "hoopled" up the end of my paddle badly for about 1.5" with pieces missing and delaminated. It is fiberglass on the blade. Anyone have any fixing trix? The weather has been breaking records on the warm side, but last year the river froze over in October and we did not see the ground for 5 months or so. This year is the oposite, but not quite as good as I had hoped. I did see a red fox and 4 otters on my trips down. It is also worth it in these transitional times to see the ice neclaces and other ornamental ice formations that look like chandaleres. - Scott
