Hmmm. The skin on my boat was very tight to begin with, and shrinking it with a heat gun did very little. I'll try your method on some scrap faric.

Nice boats! At first I thought Dean's freeboard dimension (.375") must be a misprint, then I looked at the pictures. Calling it 3/8" is probably generous!
