Why straighten the boards?

Don't rush out to straighten everything
There are times when really warped boards can come in handy. If you can carefully cut them into strips, you can turn a warp to your advantage. The wood is already bending itself in a second direction, making it much easier to fit into curved areas. Sometimes you don't need to steam or force such a "pre-bent" strip.
