For those who have never use a disc sander I would recommend it. This beat up sander has been with me for a long time. It has a 36 grit disc on it that seems to last for ever. When they clog up, a little solvent and a steel brush quickly makes them like new. It made easy work of sanding my kayak station section, squaring up my station L-brackets so they are perfectly 90 degrees to the strong back and making the two piece Bow of the Shooting Star easy work. I have used it to sharpen tools and my penciles. I have seen a 12" for as little as $99. These grow on you as you get use to them and find more uses.
