: I am looking for a hobby, and thought that strip building would be
: interesting and fun. My concern is that once finished building a boat for
: myself, that the building part will be over (half the fun). Is there much
: else to do, to keep one busy when you can't be paddling? Is there a market
: to sell boats that you make? Any thoughts are welcomed.

Joe, I had to chuckle while reading the responses to your questions. I stumbled onto the this board while serfing one day and couldn't get the idea of build one of these boats out of my mind. Then I decided I would build just one and that would be the end of that. Now I am on my second and that will be the end of it, the end of it. There is plenty to keep your interest going, building paddles and inproving boats. Books to read, the history of kayaking, safty and rescue. Tools to buy and a shop to organize, design patterns to draw and the isles of Home Depot, Lowes and Menards must be walked at least once a month to get your fix. And your 12 step program cure is to build one more boat. Be careful, this is a catch 22.
