Strip: Cheek Plates...how big?

I'm coming down to the wire, (Finally!), but I've come up against a silly problem. For the life of me I can't find any reference that gives me the appropriate size for the cheek plates. From the pictures I've seen I'd guess at about 8" X 6" or so for my GB, but I'm just not sure. It would help if I could join the deck and hull temorarily but since the deck and the hull are no longer easily brought together, (a long story), I need to fly a little blind here.
Once I get the pieces together, deck and hull must be joined in a timely manner and any further work will have to wait for warmer weather.
Anyway, knowing the size of these buggers would really move the project along!
Thanx for your help.
