... on their website to apply a small patch of dynel wet out with graphite-filled epoxy. Scroll down the page until you find "SHOP TIP: Bow and Stern Rubstrips" and complete instructions follow. I have seen these on the entire fleet that CLC hauls around to boat shows, and there is nary a scratch on any of them, even the demo boats. My guess is that it works, although it sure looks better on a dark blue painted hull than a natural wood one. I would also guess that leaving out the graphite powder would not compromise the system to any great degree. Aluminum oxide or silicon dioxide powder might accomplish the same goal, while being less offensive to aesthetes. I plan to do the same on my boats, if I ever get past more important matters.
