: i suggest they don't relate somewhat

Hi Mike, that's what I'm afraid of. When I first drew the pattern I thought it might look good on a Shooting Star (I'd love to build one but that won't happen this year or next). I've been warming up to it for this boat. I was going to do the parallelograms in spruce but I think the light blocks might be too strong (the Spruce diamonds on the hull are very strong). Then I found this beautiful board (below) and wanted to do the parallelograms in that. You might be right though. I have about a month to think about it. My original idea was to repeat the hull pattern with dark diamonds - still an option. Thanks for the input everyone.
