Big day today. I attached last two rows 5 and 6 and got a look at the entire boat. It is beatiful. I'm in love. Next I had to insert the spreaders to ensure correct boat shape. I attached a spreader at the bow and hot glued it in place. I attached one at 3 feet from the bow and one at 11 feet from the bow. It was a tricky business - I used the water level a lot to make sure they were aligned properly. Next I walked all along the boat and tried to tighten seams that needed more attention. Some wires broke and I had to replace them.

We have placed some rubbermaid boxes on the floor and transported the entire boat there. The previous location had the boat sitting too high. I need the boat low for the work on epoxying the inside seams. I again used the water level to ensure the boat was even and looked from all angles trying to feel good about the shape.

One problem I see is at the bow. The plank rows do not align evenly. They are offset by 1/8 of an inch in some locations. I do not think that it is a problem. I think that wood filler and actual epoxy will smooth the whole thing out. To make sure I will call Pygmy tomorrow and double check with them.

Tomorrow I will also start gluing the inside seams with epoxy.

rb - signing off for today.
